Okay, so I’ve been lucky enough to go on African safari, and it really is just as amazing as you’d imagine, but if you don’t get the chance to go to Africa, the next best thing is the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It’s so awesome. My friends, Bailee Madison and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and I took an open caravan around the park, and we got to hand feed a baby rhino and a giraffe! Can’t do that in the African bush! Plus, we zip-lined over lions, buffalo, and so many more animals. The zip-line is one of the longest in existence too, so that was really cool. Then we got a chance to drive our own off-road segways around to see more animals. These segways had huge tires to maneuver the dirt trails! The coolest was in the evening – the park offers a ‘Roar and Snore’ overnight experience, where you sleep in tents next to the elephants and the lions. After dinner, we took a hike in the dark to the back door of the lion’s den to see them super close. That’s as close as I’ll ever want to get! We had so much fun at the campfire roasting marshmallows and making s’mores! ! It’s a big plus that the park is in San Diego too, because it’s such a cool town. The next day, Bailee, Anna Maria, and I took a regular segway tour of the Gaslamp District. It was a blast, learning about the animals and exploring San Diego!
